Boron in the soil

According to Dr Newnham's research, the higher boron in the soil, the lower the rates of arthritis in the population. click here for more information: http://www.greenhealthwatch.com/newsstories/newsboron/low-boron-higher-arthritis.htm TO BUY A BORON SUPPLEMENT GO TO WWW.OSTEOTRACE.COM

Boron - no evidence of toxicity

There was no evidence of toxicity in people given 10mg of boron a day for long periods, concluded this study. In healthy people, boron is rapidly absorbed and then excreted in the urine. Osteotrace contains boron  and 15 other nutrients. Another study [1] put eleven postmenopausal women onto a diet delivering 0.3mg of boron a day, then gave them a daily 3.0gm boron supplement. Although the researchers had effectively increased the women's boron intakes tenfold, their blood plasma boron levels only increased by half. This suggested that the body was good at taking what boron it needed then excreting the rest. Contraindication In individuals with kidney problems, boron intake, as with any mineral supplement (particularly potassium) should be carefully monitored as impaired kidney function could reduce excretion,

Boron may protect against prostate cancer

Boron-rich diets had protected against prostate cancer, according to a 2004 study by Yan Cui and colleagues at UCLA's Department of Epidemiology. Knowing that ... raised levels of circulating testosterone and estradiol (two major sex hormones) in the body have been proposed to modify prostate cancer risk and boron has been linked to raised levels of circulating testosterone and estradiol ... researchers compared the boron intakes of 95 men with prostate cancer to those of 8,720 healthy controls. After controlling for other potential risk factors (age, race, education, smoking, body mass index, dietary caloric intake, and alcohol consumption) increased dietary boron intake correlated well with a decreased risk of prostate cancer. Those with the most boron in their food and drink had

Boron improved brain function

Boron appears to have a positive effect on the brain and central nervous system. Inadequate boron intake can contribute to a lack of energy, ability to stay focused on tasks and mental alertness. A class of medical students were given either a three milligram supplement of boron or a placebo daily for three months. At the end of the study both the students and their teacher were asked to predict which of them had been taking the boron supplement and which the placebo. The students' predictions were pretty accurate but the teacher got it right in 92% of cases! click here for more articles on boron click here to view boron-based Osteo-trace Bone Food supplement The likely explanation for these results was that inadequate bor

Low boron, higher arthritis

Dr Rex Newnham's research has found persuasive evidence worldwide linking low intake of boron with increased levels of arthritis. In parts of Australia, for instance, where the drinking water contains high boron levels (seven parts per million), there is no arthritis in either humans or animals. Other examples are: In Israel, with high soil boron levels, arthritis runs at 1% compared to 20% in the US, with both low water and low soil boron levels The Zhosa tribe in South Africa drinks high-boron water. Only 3% of its people suffer from arthritis until they move into cities, where their arthritis levels quickly rise to those pertaining in that area The opposite is also true. In parts of the world where boron intake (from both food and water) is under one milligram a day,

Boron - is it good for treating arthritis?

Boron protected against osteoporosis A study of twelve post-menopausal women aged between 48 and 72 found that supplementing a low-boron, low-magnesium diet with three milligrams of boron a day for 48 days both (i) increased 17 beta-estradiol* and testosterone levels and (ii) reduced calcium and magnesium levels in the urine. This suggested that the boron supplement had reduced both calcium loss and bone demineralisation, thus reducing bone erosion and protecting against osteoporosis * the most powerful form of natural oestrogen click here for more articles on boron click here to view boron-based Osteo-trace Bone Food supplement Ed. However, another similar study found no evidence that boron supplementation had reduced urine calcium loss. [1] [1] Beattie JH, Peace HS. Br
